Every year, I read the same old statistic: 36000 deaths from flu and flu like diseases, annually ! (333,000 deaths...due to flu... since "9/11") This calculates to about 720 deaths per state, per year (not adjusted for population) and about 14 deaths per week, per state. Since flu season is roughly 6 months long, you should be seeing about 28 deaths per week in your state attributed to the flu...
